It took him a day or so, but Mason finally figured out how to have fun in his bouncer.

New Pictures

Here are a couple new pictures of Mason enjoying some big boy food. On Monday he will be 5 months already... Everyone told us that time would just fly by and it really has been! We will try and get some new video uploaded in the next couple weeks.

These pictures are from Mason's first photo shoot..... I did these for Brian for Father's Day! Mason is growing so fast and changing everyday.

He has really been stepping up the oohs and aahs the last few days. We got a little bit of it on camera this morning.

Well, after 2 rough nights of sleep training there is lots of sleep being had at the Bates household! Some of you might not be aware of what I am talking about. I'll explain, I received a book recommendation from a friend of mine from college that tells you all the do's and don'ts of getting your child to sleep through the night. The book is called 'Sleeping Through the Night' by Jodi Mindell. The book basically give you step by step instructions on how to teach your child to self-sooth. In 48hrs. Mason went from waking up 4 or 5 times a night and demanding attention to sleeping soundly all night long. Pretty amazing... So now when Tami wakes during the night it is just to check on him and make sure he's okay. So if you know anyone with a newborn or a child that doesn't sleep very well this book is a must have! Also, a little Thank You to Emily for helping and encouraging Tami :)

He was exhausted after last nights sleep training event. He cried for about 45 minutes last night before he fell asleep and for another 30 minutes at about 3 A.M. He did spend the whole night in his crib and didn't feed all night. He did wake up at his usual time around 7:45 then fed and slept until 11:00.

Hopefully tonight goes a little smoother.
